Lovely Living Spaces

Thanks to Pintrest, I'm able to put all my favorite what nots in special categories so i can go back to them when I'm ready for a challenge :) I came across a few eye catching yummy rooms I'd love to take ideas from. I love how all the colors and patterns are so complimentary to one another, making the living space so unique.  I have a living room in our new home (it's been 2months) that's empty. So hopefully I can win lotto and put some of these inspirational room ideas to my empty living space :)

April Baubles

Happy Tuesday all! Hope this week is off to a great start! I've been going crazy not being able to design some jewelry because the homes been on the market. So now that the homes sale pending I took all the tools and findings out to get the juices flowing again (until I have to really pack them away).  Here's some new baubles I added to my Etsy shop . I'm also in the midst of deciding to open up another online shop outside of Etsy. I'm weighing that all out so more to come on that decision.

Have a great day! xo

To do's.... moving, packing, keeping up......

Hi guys,  Happy Wednesday!! Hope everyone is having a great day so far! I've been so bad with keeping up with my blog lately ! When I logged on today , I was pleasantly  surprised  that I received a Sunshine Award from Kate from  (thank you) . It made my day because I've been wanting to jot some thoughts down and haven't had the chance.  But getting this nice surprised got my typing juices going!  We are in the process of selling our house  so we've been nutty! What makes it so crazy is that the home sold in 3 days! We'd like to downsize the size of our home to something smaller and cozier.  It's been a whirlwind of packing, setting things aside for a garage sale and giving my family first dibs :) Most of all we're trying to figure out where to go! Do we rent , do we buy, do we pitch a tent?? Lots of thinking going on in this head of mine :)  So in the next couple of weeks i'll try to jot down my journey! So I'm fastening my seat belt and my families!  We are in for a fun and scary ride  :) I'm hoping when we get to the next place I start off organizing right!

Friday Biz talk...

I'm always reading, learning, gawking... pretty much anything that has to do with social media and business. I'm by far probably the most challenged when it comes to the world of blogging. But I'm doing my best to keep up with it :) because I really enjoy doing it. I've met some really great people and learning so much. I love business! Everything about it fascinates me. How a successful or not so successful small or big business does it.

I wanted to share some finds and resources I use. Maybe you can find it useful for your blog or business endeavors.

  • Just added the instagram widget to my page by - SnapWidget
  • I came across Becca through the Etsy teams and absolutely appreciate her blog and helpful tips. I've connected with many of you through her Blog Hop-
  • Great mag to read about big or small entrepreneurs - Inc Magazine
  • If your on Etsy a great resource to check your stats-
  • I just joined this site and I've been tooling around with it. Lots of ideas to help come up with subjects for your blog and not to mention The Skinny Scoop gang is awesome! Great group of gals there. You have to check them out -
  • I've been on Etsy for 5 months and love it but I'm always looking for other avenues to expose my work. I came across and trying it out - it's Etsy meets big cartel. They have some nice features. More on them as the weeks/months go buy.
  • I joined a team on Etsy, the SF Etsy Team. They are the best! The support and networking is amazing! So fortunate to have made a connection with them (though I've never met anyone in person). We do a lot of communicating via the virtual world.

Happy Friday!

Happy Monday- Introducing Ashley Greenstone from OwlBolt

Happy Monday ALL! This weekend flew by like all the weekend's have been lately. Nothing exciting on my side. The weather put a damper on fun shenanigans so hoping for a sunnier weekend ahead :)

I'm excited to introduce you to the lovely Ashley Greenstone of OwlBolt. Her beautiful knits are too cute not to share. I came across Ashley 1st on Instagram and her Etsy shop.Thank you Ashley for taking the time to stop by and share your story.

Enjoy :)

I am 27, My bday is March 31st so almost 28..haha.
I grew up in San Diego California. I have always loved every form of Art, I have been a hairdresser for 10 yrs. I have been a stay at home mom since I was 7 months pregnant with Johnny, who will be 2 in May!

-How long have you been crocheting?

I started crochet in September, so 7 months :)

He's so cute!
-How did you become interested in it?

Ever since I found out my best friend from high school new how to crochet, it always made me think someday I will learn too! My Aunt is a master Knit/Crocheter so when I was visiting my family I asked her to teach me the basics.

-Where does your inspiration come from?

My inspiration comes from COLOR! I love being able to blend any color I want together. Usually while I am crocheting one thing I am thinking about other things I want to crochet. Sometimes I feel like there isnt enough time for all my ideas! haha

 - Do you do other crafts besides crochet?

YES, I am an ART girl. I love to paint! Which is another thing I am looking forward to doing this Spring and Summer. When all the leaves on the tress and flowers on the ground come out it usually starts to inspire me.

 - Your pieces are so cute! Do you have a favorite design to make?

I always Love what I first come out with, For instance making Headbands! I knew my orders of beanies were going to slow down as winter ends, so I needed to come up with something new to keep my Etsy shop active! I just love creating new things that I havent seen before.

-What things do you do to market your business?

Every time I post on Etsy I advertise on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest. Instagram is where I get 90% of my orders.

-What do you love most about running your own business, and what do you like least?

Running my own business gives me that sense of independence! It lets me know that others appreciate and love my art. What more can I ask for? I am a stay at home mom, and my part time job is my hobby :)
The only thing I like the least is I wish I had more time in the day to keep on creating, that may sound cheesy but its true!

-Do you find it easier to craft for boys or girls?

It depends on what season we are in, Winter time means scarves and beanies..with those my ideas are endless!
Summertime means light accessorizing, so coming up with boy creations can be a bit more challenging. But a girl/ woman wear headbands/purses all year :)

-How do you describe your style?

Colorful, and Hippie lovin

-How did you come up with the name Owl Bolt (love it)?

Owl- From my obsession with Harry Potter books/ movies, I loved how the owls were the mail carriers.
Bolt- being raised in Southern California its hard not to become a Huge San Diego Chargers fan. Their symbol is the lightning Bolt.

Somehow when I was creating an email account I blended the two and have loved it ever since!

The one and only Ashely creator of OwlBolt. You can find her wonderful crafts or Instagram @owlbolt
